Started with a hole in the ground and a flexible plan.
 Figured it might be difficult to build a shed around a kiln, so I did it first.

 Laying CMU's on a bed of gravel for the foundation. (concrete masonry units) approx .6x13ft.

 Firebox grate and floor are in. Small arch will support the back of the kiln, it's outside dimensions are catanary, 22.5x22.5"
 The curved vertical walls are 4 bricks high. I'll need to buttress higher than that.
 The 'mortar' is a slurry of fireclay and 70 mesh silica sand. Each brick is dipped before placement.
 We placed the form on wedges we could knock out later to drop the form out.
